You screen cash-secured puts by fixing the four things that decide the trade before you look at any premium: the tickers you are willing to own, the expiration window, the delta band, and the least yield you will accept on the cash you set aside. Every other filter sits on top of those four.
Selling a put obliges you to buy 100 shares at the strike if the buyer exercises. Cash-secured means the cash to do that is already set aside, so assignment is an outcome you planned for rather than a margin call. The premium is yours either way.
Delta is the first. It is roughly the market's own estimate of the chance the option finishes in the money, so a 0.20 delta put is roughly a one-in-five chance of assignment.
Days to expiration is the second. Thirty to forty-five days is the window most sellers screen, because it collects most of the decay without holding the obligation for a quarter.
Yield on the cash you set aside is the third, and it only means something read next to the first two.
Liquidity is the fourth. A wide spread or a zero bid is a price you will never actually fill at, however good the yield looks.
The Options Screener runs it: name the tickers or a watchlist, set the expiration window and the delta band, and sort by yield or by Saber score.
From an AI client the same screen is the screen_csp tool, which takes the same filters as arguments.
The Trade Ideas board is the version you do not have to configure — a ranked shortlist across the universe Remora tracks, rebuilt through the day.
Delta is the textbook estimate. Your own history is the better one.
Wheel Co-Pilot compares what this account's puts have actually done at each delta band with what delta said they would do, which is the assignment_calibration tool over MCP.
It needs closed trades to compare against, so an account with none gets no calibration rather than an invented number.
One pre-trade check delta never covers is an earnings date inside the expiration. Remora carries the date on the screener row and returns it through get_earnings.
Yes, once Remora is connected as a tool. "Screen cash-secured puts on AMD, GOOGL and KO for 30 to 45 days out" is a prompt that works on the first day.
Connect your AI has the setup steps for ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code.
The assistant runs the screen and reads the result back. It cannot send an order anywhere.
Remora is analysis software, not a broker and not an adviser. It cannot place a trade, and nothing on it is investment advice.
